I am bonkers for Bamboo. Not the real bamboo. We had a terrible time taming the real thing in our backyard in Australia. I love the bamboo look furniture from the 60's and 70's. I am looking for bedside tables for our bedroom and just came across this set on Craigslist. The set is $175. We only need the chairs and they might be just the right thing for our kitchen. Painted and upholstered, of course. Never afraid of a project.
Unfortunately, someone got to the seller first. I am in a holding pattern crossing my fingers that the person interested doesn't follow through this weekend. I think it's a long shot. Keep your fingers and toes crossed.
I have only purchased a bedroom set for Buddy on CL. I have never sold a thing and am a bit creeped out by the thought of having someone come to your home for pick up. I am thinking about selling some of our furniture and would love any tips from seasoned CL sellers. Thanks!
ps...We are getting our closets installed today - YEAH! And, my children are home on ANOTHER snow day. Lots of grossness and ice out there today.

i have some experience buying/selling. make sure your husband is at home when people come to your house. you never know who might show up. accept only $$, of course. i went to a bad neighborhood to buy a scooter and I will never do that again. SCARY. But i've found some good pieces that i've repainted and am happy about the fun projects that brought me.
That table/chair set is so cute!
I love the classic bamboo-look too.
I hope you take us on a tour of your home when all these projects are done!! :)
