Anonymous

It seems many of our blogging readers just don't know how to play nice in the sand box. Because of my monogram tattoo post I just received an anonymous comment calling me "old and boring" and telling me to "get a life".

And guess what...I'm not offended. I am proud of being "old and boring". I also much prefer "old and boring" to the alternatives.

As well, I have a life. A great life thank you. I don't need another one and I certainly don't need to change the one I have to include being tattooed and overly pierced. Even in my younger days, during college, and working in Los Angeles right after, I had no desire for either. It's just who I am.

I have been feeling old lately and a post on mid life crises is muddling around in my brain. Be assured, dear readers, a tattoo is not what's going to make me feel less old!

Now...enough with the old stuff. I am off to my Kindergartener's Native American Day!

Stay true to yourself! I think you're fabulous. Tattoo and over-piercings are gross!

Blogging is supposed to be about encouraging each other and sharing thoughts and ideas, not putting others down, ugh, I just don't get some people!!!

Have fun at Native America Day!!

You are not old; you are classy!!! Tattoos are not classy, even when they are a monogram. Permanently inking your body is just not a good idea.

Gee, I see you as young, hip, and classy. Love to see your posts on clothes.

So rude to make such a comment. You're not either. xoxo

"Delurking" to say that I recently started reading your blog and I love it! I've gotten so many decorating and recipe ideas from what you've written, not to mention that it's always lovely to read something upbeat. With all the "Real Housewives of XYZ" lifestyle imitators out there, it's nice to find a classic diamond in the rough once in awhile! Keep on doing what you're doing, because there are many of us who enjoy it! Thanks again! :)

I am right there with you! No tattoos for me. I agree, not classy at all and I may be old & boring too, but I do believe I am a classy woman ...you too!! :)
Also, I've had my share of nasty comments. I especially loved the one that said 'I am so sick of you and your preppy self. Enough already' ... LOL, what the heck is she reading my blog for if she doesn't like preppiness?!!

I bet I'm even older and more boring than you! I cannot STAND tattoos, and sadly my opinion of someone is affected negatively when I see them sporting one. I completely concur with Henley about tattoos not being classy.

One thing that baffles me is that I have never had a piece of jewelry or clothing that I wanted to wear forever. Even items that I wear so much that I wonder what I wore before I owned them eventually fall out of favor and find their way to the back of a drawer (or into a bag for Goodwill). How in the world could a tattoo be any different? (Not to mention how a tattoo looks as your body ages.)

I just had to turn off anonymous comments on my blog. I haven't had word verification in over a year because a couple of people were having trouble with it, and then all of a sudden I was receiving a couple of random spam comments every week.

Hold strong! I would guess that the majority of people who are attracted to your blog would agree with you on this!

I've never liked anything enough o consider having it put permanently on my body. Just not my style. (Or my mothers, oh my goodness she would've killed me!) They're called tramp stamps for a reason!
